This position is responsible for providing effective leadership, direction and management of the daily and weekly operations and maintenance of OPPD owned and leased assets required for OPPD's operational needs. Provides day-to-day direction to assigned personnel and contractor resources and ensures regulatory compliance with all applicable local, state and federal agencies and with OPPD's policies and procedures. The key functional accountabilities of this position include creating and implementing policies and procedures, work direction, assigning and monitoring work, hiring staff, employee performance, disciplinary actions and other administrative functions related to Building Services. Also responsible for the safety and functionality of various facilities as well as the personal safety of all direct reports. Accountable for the planning and execution of all necessary preventative maintenance of OPPD's buildings and properties company-wide.
Organizes and directs all activities of the craft personnel performing operations and maintenance. Supervises department's O&M Technicians, Facility Representatives, and Supplemental Support personnel as assigned.
