Directs the development and implementation of the sales/marketing plans for the Customer Acquisition Department to reach the Company's objectives.Â Hit new customer acquisition and sales targets within ROI constraints based on CLTV for direct and retail business while allocating the advertising budget for the greatest impact on profitsâ??.Â Manages current and introduces new tactics that drive customer acquisition in existing and new target audiences using Mass Media and Audience Targeting.â??Â Responsible for the marketing schedule, all marketing pieces, efforts, offers, product selection, pricing, and name selection strategies for new customer acquisition. Duties extend to include customer reactivation. Manages the Customer Acquisition department personnel.Â
Major Responsibilities and Job Duties:
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Develops and executes the annual sales and marketing plans/budget for the Customer Acquisition department.Â Meets and exceeds financial objectives for the department including sales, margins, average order and new customer growth.Â Responsible for advertising budget adherence.
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Develops and implements the optimal mass media marketing plan, including space print, TV, audio, digital and other media.Â Â
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Develops and implements the prospecting and reactivation mailing plans, including list selection, offer development, testing strategy and creative direction.Â
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Plans and directs the customer conversion strategy that delivers the highest yield of net new customers.Â Follows this acquisition mindset to reactivate lapsed customers. Mediums include but are not limited to USPS mailings, targeted shared mail programs, emails, package inserts, and targeted digital advertising.
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Prepares weekly sales reports (Scorecard) and presents results during weekly sales meetings. Regularly reviews marketing reports to determine how actual sales and customer acquisition costs compare to projections.Â Identifies causes of variances and takes appropriate actions to improve results.
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Provides leadership and business direction to direct reports.Â Offers performance feedback in the form of regular 1:1 meetings and annual reviews.Â Identifies and encourages professional development and growth opportunities.
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Prepares for and holds post analysis meetings for all marketing efforts as part of the quarterly retrospective process. Codes invoices and tracks advertising budget for managed programs
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Serves as key communicator to all stakeholders including Advertising Production, MIS, Inventory Management, Customer Care, Order Entry, the Call Center and OCG, regarding every marketing effort this position oversees.Â Facilitates all conceptualization meetings.Â Ensures all creative adheres to brand guidelines and provides final approval.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â 4-year college degree in Marketing or Communications or equivalent.
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â 5-7 years direct marketing & sales experience
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Microsoft Office Software.
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Proficient in Site Analytics Tool
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â High attention to detail with excellent organizational and negotiation skills.Â Â Â
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Proficient knowledge of direct and online marketing principles.
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks.
