Major Job Responsibilities/Job Duties:
Builds relationships with prospective and existing customers to achieve sales goals. Identifies decision-makers and develops sales pitches based on customersâ?? needs, budgets and timelines. Analyzes and determines distribution needs for assigned area and recommends distributors to improve existing business or obtain new business
Obtains and communicates information regarding competitive position from brokers, distributors and customers. Under approval of senior management, establishes budgeted sales and margin objectives while following sales and marketing plans. Achieves or exceeds objectives. Accurately prepares orders and forwards to Order Assembly department through Sales Operations.
Provides monthly usage by customer and product code to production and purchasing. Prepares weekly price lists for distribution to customers based on price changes. Researches competition and reports information to senior management.
Demonstrates a consistent positive attitude to support a productive work environment. Cooperates, communicates and works well with coworkers. Treats all employees and customers respectfully. Meets expectations for attendance and punctuality.
Maintains a clean and safe work environment at all times and adheres to safety and security standards in the performance of all job duties, and immediately reports all safety hazards or incidents to a supervisor. Adheres to work rules and Company policies. Performs other projects and duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
2-year college degree in sales/ marketing, or equivalent work experience.
2-3 years food service, center of the plate or meat sales preferred. Knowledge of sales and marketing strategies used in the food industry. Knowledge of Omaha Steaks Foodservice product line and terminology is beneficial.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and listening skills.
Ability to successfully sell to customers consistently
Exhibits a team member mentality.
Ability to travel to trade shows.
This is a full-time position. Please plan to work approximately 40 hours per week.
