Major Job Responsibilities/Job Duties:
Creates detailed work plans and timelines that appropriately sequence the design, copy and production activities needed to complete the project. Communicates and documents work plans with appropriate managers and in designated systems. Ensures that all teams assigned to the project receive an appropriate orientation to the project.
Manages multiple calendars, spreadsheets and systems. Ensures that assigned staff and internal partners meet deadlines and that all projects are completed on time and on budget.
Monitors project status and communicates daily with project teams, internal partners, external vendors and upper management on the status and details of all projects.
Partners with internal teams to plan and define scopes of creative projects. Determines the resources required to complete the project. Collaborates with creative team managers to secure the appropriate teams. Collaborates with the senior management to secure the appropriate vendor bids.
Issues complete and accurate purchase orders, purchase order amendments and any other documentation required. Reviews vendor invoices for compliance with purchase orders and approves accordingly.
Ensures that artwork complies with published specifications, printersâ?? tolerances and postal regulations. Provides guidance to design team in regard to file requirements from external partners including the USPS.
Reviews all vendor proofs (creative, data and print) at all stages of the creative and production processes for accuracy.
Participates in conceptualization of advertising projects, especially regarding scheduling, cost/budget, quality concerns and new/innovative printing techniques and applications.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
4 year college degree or equivalent. Degree in Marketing preferred.
5+ years experience purchasing direct mail printing and other related services. In-depth knowledge of the postal process preferred
Proficient PC skills, including Excel and Word.
Experience in additional project management and print production tools a plus
This is a full-time position. Please plan to work approximately 40 hours per week.
