Our ideal candidate will be a social media guru with big ideas that is fully immersed in the online community, understands the nuances of various platforms and stays informed on the latest digital trends.
  • In this fast-paced position, you will be responsible for using all forms of social media to build the Omaha Steaks brand and drive awareness, traffic and revenue through campaigns, contests, monitoring and community engagement. Your collaboration with cross-functional teams including Brand, Creative, Public Relations and Marketing will be key to planning, managing and executing effective partnerships, seasonal promotions and new product launches.

What You Will Do

  • Advocates for the Omaha Steaks brand on all social networks by actively engaging within the online community. Connects with potential customers and influencers. Communicates with followers and responds to queries in a timely manner. Manages, creates and publishes posts.
  • Analyzes social media engagement across platforms. Develops and implements plans for improving engagement results. Boosts posts across platforms to meet business goals and increase engagement. Monitors fan/follower feedback and shares results across the organization.
  • Manages social media budget.
  • Supports all marketing, public relations, human resources and B2B initiatives including events, partnerships and contests by writing, editing and publishing posts and conversations. Oversees social media accounts design and profile copy.
  • Manages social media interns.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • 4-year college degree or equivalent.
  • 2-5 years' prior experience preferred in marketing, communications, public relations and specifically social media marketing and/or communications.
  • Extensive knowledge of Social Media Platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard social media monitoring platforms.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong grasp of Social Media best practices.
  • High level of professionalism, and ability to understand and respond appropriately to internal and external audiences.
  • Tremendous attention to detail.
  • Ability to plan, execute and evaluate projects with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent judgment in dealing with customers, the media and others on sensitive or proprietary issues.

Schedule Requirements

  • This is a part-time, day shift position. Please plan to work 20 hours in the office and 5-10 hours per week from home.
