The Essential Job Duties Include:
Direct and manage every step of product development process according to timeline to ensure a quality and seamless product/category introduction for all OSI sales divisions. Sets expectations and deliverables up front.
Manage all details with supplier to ensure criteria and expectations are met for each step in the development process- new, reform, second sourcing efforts. Works very closely with Culinary Manager and Food Science and Nutrition manager to provide accurate information and timely details to meet deliverables
In tandem with purchasing and merchandising, responsible for directing development on reformulations, second sourcing efforts and quality claims for all new manufactured and non-manufactured products to increase rebuy rates and decrease claim rates.
Work with purchasing, culinary associate and quality assurance to facilitate testing of both new and existing products. Qualify suppliers and ensure compliance with OS expectations
Maintains accurate documentation of current products including revisions, ingredient statements, NFP, cooking instructions and most current QA evaluation.
Provide creative input in planning, proofing and project management of related marketing materials and research, source and develop new product categories and line extensions.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
4 year college degree in Food and Nutrition; Food Science, Merchandising or Food Marketing .
Working knowledge of product development processes/timelines
Proficient PC skills, including Excel and Word.
Strong project management skills.
Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail
Ability to think on multiple levels and manage many moving parts
This is a full-time, day shift position. Please plan to work approximately 40 hours per week.
