The Essential Job Duties Include:

  • Direct and manage every step of product development process according to timeline to ensure a quality and seamless product/category introduction for all OSI sales divisions. Sets expectations and deliverables up front.
  • Manage all details with supplier to ensure criteria and expectations are met for each step in the development process- new, reform, second sourcing efforts. Works very closely with Culinary Manager and Food Science and Nutrition manager to provide accurate information and timely details to meet deliverables
  • In tandem with purchasing and merchandising, responsible for directing development on reformulations, second sourcing efforts and quality claims for all new manufactured and non-manufactured products to increase rebuy rates and decrease claim rates.
  • Work with purchasing, culinary associate and quality assurance to facilitate testing of both new and existing products. Qualify suppliers and ensure compliance with OS expectations
  • Maintains accurate documentation of current products including revisions, ingredient statements, NFP, cooking instructions and most current QA evaluation.
  • Provide creative input in planning, proofing and project management of related marketing materials and research, source and develop new product categories and line extensions.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 4 year college degree in Food and Nutrition; Food Science, Merchandising or Food Marketing .
  • Working knowledge of product development processes/timelines
  • Proficient PC skills, including Excel and Word.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to think on multiple levels and manage many moving parts

Schedule Requirements:

  • This is a full-time, day shift position. Please plan to work approximately 40 hours per week.
