Essential job duties include but are not limited to:
Performs facility safety inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and Omaha Steaks Safety Program requirements. Monitors employee safety and ergonomic techniques and makes corrections as needed. Communicates findings to management.
Assists with completion of accident and/or immediate response reports. Investigates accidents, identifies root causes, and makes recommendations to prevent reoccurrence. Assists with the Return-to-Work program and maintains confidentiality of any medical or personnel related records or issues.
Performs new hire safety training classes and power equipment training classes as needed. Assembles and maintains training paperwork.
Completes other special projects and duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
2-year college degree or equivalent
Experience with OSHA or Safety regulations and/or training.
2 years' experience in safety and/or training.
Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred but not required.
PC and computer operations knowledge Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to learn and understand how power equipment is operated.
Must have effective oral and written communication, interpersonal and human relations skills.
This is a temporary position. Please plan to work mostly full-time days and weekends in November and December.
