We have an immediate opening for an experienced Recruiter to join our hiring team who can make significant contributions to our growing Company. We are one of the leading property/casualty members of the Berkshire Hathaway group of insurance companies. Responsibilities of the position include:

  • Developing recruiting plans to source candidates for open positions in consultation with hiring managers
  • Identifying and effectively using job boards, appropriate social media and industry specific sites
  • Writing job postings for a variety of Internet sites, publications, and colleges
  • Using applicant tracking system to identify qualified candidates and partnering with hiring supervisor, manager, and/or department head
  • Conducting telephone and initial office interviews and making candidate recommendations
  • Serving as an effective Company representative using excellent customer service skills
  • Developing and maintaining partnerships with colleges and universities
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent
  • 3-5 years related work experience including significant recruiting experience
  • Experience using various recruiting sources including social media
  • Experience with applicant tracking system(s)
  • Knowledge of Human Resource laws and practices (EEO, Fair Labor Standards Act,
  • Americans with Disabilities Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, etc.)
  • Experience with software such as Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with all levels of the organization
  • Work with a sense of urgency handling multiple high priorities
  • Basic math through Algebra
  • PHR preferred
