The Facilities Life Safety Analyst will develop, implement and oversee programs, processes and projects that aid in meeting facilities compliance and life safety regulations for Nebraska Medicine and UNMC; Manage and oversee the preventative maintenance processes for the regulatory compliance program and other regulatory functions associated with the Environment of Care (EOC) following local, state and national jurisdiction; Oversee inspections performed by external vendors, as well as testing of in house systems directly associated with the Environment of Care and Life Safety.

Required Qualifications:
* Minimum of two years experience with an architectural firm, facilities management department or equivalent to include experience working with architects and contractors required.
* High school education or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in interior design, architecture, or construction management from an accredited program OR equivalent combination of education/experience combined (one year of education equals one year of experience) required.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills required. Ability to set priorities, organize work and projects to meet customer needs required.
* Understanding of construction documents (e.g., plumbing, heating & air conditioning, electrical, etc.) required.
* Working knowledge of governing regulatory agency laws (e.g., TJC, OSHA, City, State Fire Marshall, State Health Department, etc.) required.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills required.
* Ability to set priorities, organize work and projects to meet customer needs required.

Preferred Qualifications:
* Construction management experience is preferred.
* Bachelor's degree in interior design, architecture, or construction management from an accredited program preferred.
* Working knowledge of systems furniture, ergonomics, space planning, signage and health care design preferred.
* Familiarities with CAD, Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel, and Computer Aided Facility Management (CAFM) software preferred.
