Nebraska Medicine is seeking a talented individual to join us as a Clinical Psychologist

Position Highlights:

  • This is a full-time clinical psychologist position in the Nebraska Medicine Psychology Department, a clinical health psychology clinic serving a large academic medical center.
  • Psychologists in this role conduct pre-surgical (bariatric, transplant) psychological evaluations, inpatient consult/liaison, and individual/group assessment and treatment of psychiatric disorders.
  • Join a team of 10 clinical psychologists and 3 predoctoral interns, with opportunities for research and training/supervision (if interested). Candidates with experience or interest in working with Oncology patients are especially invited to apply.


  • Full time, 40 hours/1.0 FTE (benefits eligible)
  • 8:00AM- 5:00PM, Monday - Friday
  • No weekends or on call

Job Duties:

Provide evidence-based psychological services (e.g., evaluation, diagnosis, consultation and treatment) to patients within the organization and affiliated institutions using a biopsychosocial approach in concert with other members of the patient's health care team for the purpose of preventing or eliminating symptomatic, maladaptive, or undesired behavior and/or facilitating adaptation to physical illness, accident, or injury.

Required Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in psychology from an APA/CPA-accredited OR equivalent doctoral program with an APA/CPA accredited OR equivalent doctoral internship required.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills required.
  • Independent problem-solving skills and self-directed work experience required.
  • Licensed or license-eligible as a Clinical Psychologist in the State of Nebraska, or provisionally licensed in the state of Nebraska with the ability to obtain a license in 24 months required.
