Shift Details:

Monday - Friday; 10:30 am - 7:00 pm

Provide and coordinate oral interpretation and written translation services for patients, families, customers, and staff of the clinical enterprise.

Required Qualifications:

* Minimum of two years experience with language translation in both verbal and written communication required.
* High school education or equivalent required.
* Completion of an approved Medical Interpreter Training Course within 60 days of hire or transfer date required.
* Fluency in both verbal and written communication of the English and Spanish languages as well as familiarity with target cultures and customs required.
* Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to organize and manage multiple concurrent tasks required.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Prior experience in a health care setting is preferred.
* Bachelor's degree in languages, health care, or related field is preferred.
* Previous completion of an approved Medical Interpreter training course preferred.
* Proficiency with computer programs for Microsoft Word, Excel, and Spanish Word preferred.
* Knowledge of and experience with TDD Cyra Com (telephonic service), statistical databases, and video relay interpretation equipment preferred.
