Retail/Outpatient Pharmacy Intern
Nebraska Medicine is now taking applications for a talented individual to join us as a Retail/Outpatient Pharmacy Intern in Bellevue, NE. This role will be working in the Nebraska Medicine - Bellevue Outpatient Pharmacy.
The Pharmacy Intern role will be a Part Time/Casual position, working 1 to 2 week day afternoon shifts with a rotating Saturday shift. Shifts are typically 4 to 5 hours with mindfulness given to class and test schedules. To be considered for this role, applicants must be currently enrolled or accepted into a ACPE Doctor of Pharmacy Program. A Nebraska Pharmacy Intern registration OR Nebraska Pharmacy Technician registration is required.
The Pharmacy Intern will gain experience in different areas within the Outpatient/Retail Pharmacy, including order entry, product dispensing , medication counseling, medication therapy management and medication adherence programs.
Preferred candidates will be beginning their Doctor of Pharmacy program in the fall of 2020. However, all interested applicants are encouraged to apply.

Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, the incumbent shall prepare, dispense and distribute medication and provide clinical monitoring and drug information in a manner, which ensures optimal patient care.
High school education or equivalent required.
Currently accepted to an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited Doctor of Pharmacy program required.
Ability to communicate effectively with hospital staff and patients.
Employee must demonstrate basic computer skills and use of typical office equipment.
Licensed Nebraska pharmacy intern or registered as a pharmacy technician with the State of Nebraska Board of Pharmacy required.
Previous pharmacy experience preferred.
Basic Life Support certification preferred.
