CNA (Patient Care Technician)- 5 West COVID Unit- Nights Full Time

CNA (Patient Care Technician)

Position Highlights:

44 bed fast-paced, mixed acuity unit caring for COVID-19 positive patients or those who are suspected of having a COVID-19 infection. Will care for adult Med-Surg/Tele patients.

Vast variety of patient populations: Cardiac, Trauma, Transplant, Psychiatric and so much more!

Extended use of PPE and/or PAPR's may be needed. PPE experts are available to assist with donning/doffing and to ensure proper use.

Shift: Nights/Full time

Perform delegated patient activities as assigned by licensed nursing personnel for the achievement of patient`s plan of care.

Required Qualifications:

* Minimum of 18 years of age required.
* High school education or equivalent required.
* Completion of a certified nursing assistant program, currently enrolled as a student pursuing a nursing degree, or experience in direct patient care required.
* Demonstrated effective communication skills required.
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification endorsed by the American Heart Association (AHA) upon completion of unit orientation required.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Direct patient care experience preferred.
* Knowledge of computer data entry and word processing preferred.
* Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
