Nebraska Medicine is now taking applications for a talented individual to join us as a Cardiac CT/MRI Imaging Coordinator in our Cardiovascular Medicine Imaging department. This position is works within the Nebraska Medicine campus.

The Cardiac CT/MRI Imaging Coordinator role is designed for an experienced Cardiac Tomographic Imaging professional with three year or more CT/MRI experience.  One must be a graduate of a two year AMA approved Radiologic Technology school.  This is an ideal role for someone with a passion for process improvement and education as well as performing the tasks listed below. 

The current position is a Full Time position working Monday-Friday, 0800-1700.

Work with the cardiac imaging team to coordinate care for cardiac CT and MRI patients. Monitor image quality and work closely with physicians and technologists to develop, maintain, and ensure proper application of all image acquisition and post-processing protocols. Develop, coordinate, implement, and evaluate educational programs related to cardiac imaging and assist with research projects to improve the knowledge and practice of providers and staff in relation to cardiac imaging. Assist in the establishment of partnerships with community and regional healthcare providers for the development of improved cardiac imaging care processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • CT and MRI experience required.
  • Minimum of three years cardiac tomographic imaging experience required. 
  • Graduate of a two-year AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology required. 
  • Proficiency in use of specialized image processing software and other PACS systems is required.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and work effectively with IT personnel is required.
  • Demonstrated ability for problem solving and decision making required.
  • Effective communication and writing skills required.
  • Ability to plan, direct, and evaluate the work of other personnel involved in cardiac imaging required.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, if needed, required. 
  • Current Nebraska ARRT or compact state license required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Current CT or MRI certification required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Public speaking experience preferred. 
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent from an ARRT accredited college or university preferred. 
  • Experience in program development preferred.
  • Ability to travel locally and regionally preferred.
