Manage nutrition care for patients in a specialty area, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to integrate nutrition care throughout the patients continuum of care. Conduct medical nutrition therapy for patients in a specialty area. Conduct education and nutrition outcomes research.
Achievement of performance requirements for entry-level dietitians through a minimum of 1,200 hours of supervised practice in an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) accredited program (Dietetic Internship Program, Coordinated Program, or Individualized Supervised Practice Program) required.
Minimum of three years of experience as a licensed and registered nutrition practitioner in a clinical setting required.
Bachelors degree and completion of an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics required.
Communication skills (written and verbal; individual and group interaction) required.
Organizational skills (ability to multi-task; attention to detail; time management) required.
Customer service skills required. Problem solving skills required. Math skills required.
Computer experience (Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel; email; intranet/internet navigation) required.
Licensed as a Medical Nutrition Therapist (LMNT) through the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services required.
Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) through the Commission on Dietetic Registration required.
