Use a data driven approach to problem solving and definition to include performing data analysis, communicating and presenting data, and identifying the financial cost/beneft to the organization. Lead and facilitate cross-functional quality improvement teams through the DMAIC Problem Solving Process with Master Black Belt Supervision. Identify and manage resources required to successfully execute projects.
Bachelors degree required. Following department orientation/training, must be able to lead a team/project with support from a Master Black Belt (MBB). General project over-sight is provided by MBB. Continuing education with project facilitation and leadership, project communications, statistical software, data manipulation and analysis is required. Results orientated with track record of performance required. Must display an enthusiastic and positive demeanor. Proficiency with Office Computer Tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.) is required. Demonstrated project team leadership skills is required. Strong quantitative, problem solving, and analytical skills are required. Ability to develop strong working relationships required. Ability to work effectively with all levels in an organization required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Work experience demonstrating a desire and ability to learn new skills is preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of project management skills preferred. Knowledge of DMAIC principles is preferred. Knowledge of lean principles is preferred. Previous experience with the design and application of computerized process simulation preferred. Formal class work in basic statistics preferred.
