Manage nutrition care for patients across the continuum of care, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to integrate nutrition care with the patients overall plan of care. Conduct medical nutrition therapy for patients/families. Provide clinical education for students/health care professionals and participate in nutrition outcomes research.
Achievement of performance requirements for entry-level dietitians through a minimum of 1,200 hours of supervised practice in an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) accredited program (Dietetic Internship Program, Coordinated Program, or Individualized Supervised Practice Program) required.
Bachelors degree and completion of an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics required.
Communication skills (written and verbal; individual and group interaction) required.
Organizational skills (ability to multi-task; attention to detail; time management) required.
Customer service skills required.
Problem solving skills required.
Math skills required.
Computer experience (Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel; email; intranet/internet navigation) required.
Licensed as a Medical Nutrition Therapist (LMNT) through the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services required.
Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) through the Commission on Dietetic Registration required.
