Job Description

This individual will ensure compliance in maintaining USP chapters 795, 797 and 800 as well as additional regulatory requirements as required by current practice. Responsible for initial staff training and ongoing assessments to maintain training compliance per USP standards and Nebraska Medicine policy. Complete and coordinate on-going environmental monitoring and cleaning practices as required by USP guidelines. Advise and work with pharmacy leadership and staff to ensure compliance with all state board of pharmacy laws and regulatory bodies such as Institute of Safe Medication Practices (IMSP) and Joint Commission.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree required.              
Minimum of five years of experience in an inpatient pharmacy or applicable health care setting such as research or laboratory experience required.

Preferred Qualifications                
Bachelors degree preferred.
Expertise in sterile compounding practices preferred. Thorough understanding of medical terminology preferred.
Completion of National Pharmacy Technician Association Sterile Compounding Certification preferred.
