Description

This position is responsible for gathering in-depth consumer, competitive and market information from a variety of sources across consumer segments, and for synthesizing strategic insights and information to inform segment and marketing strategy.

Key to this role will be utilizing our customer segment knowledge and foundational learning to help the organization lean into our customer focused strategy. By closely partnering with the consumer insights team, this role will help inform deeper insights and also enable marketing strategy across the entire marketing organization.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Utilize secondary or syndicated research to surface business and consumer and insights around market behavior, including industry, consumer and functional information and macro trends.
  • Embrace customer segmentation and empower insights team to evolve and enhance segmentation foundational learning and materials through above mentioned research.
  • Maintain industry awareness to include category size and composition, movement and entrants/exits, sales data, significant news/ issues.
  • Gather, analyze and synthesize information on competitors' consumer marketing strategies and offerings, to include their marketing/media mix, advertising platforms/ campaigns, product positioning and consumer targets.
  • Act as a strategic business partner to marketing, segment, and innovation areas, maintaining a regular cadence of interaction and collaborating with those areas to share insights and information and help turn into strategy.
  • Prepare presentation materials and deliver effective presentations with actionable insights and recommendations.

  • Ability to read, digest, and synthesize data and reports, drawing out the ' actionable insight' that will be impactful. Advanced problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Consultative and collaborative approach with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective organizational skills demonstrating the ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail.

VALUABLE EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors or Advanced degree in relevant field (ie Business, market research, marketing, etc).
  • Experience in insurance or financial services industries.
  • Marketing, project management or data analytics experience.
