As a Service Specialist working with group insurance, you will put your passion (for compassion) to work, in an environment where every day is different and dynamic. You and your team will form the front line of support for our policyholders, brokers and group office personnel. They will depend on you for timely answers, ranging from general product inquiries to plan implementation, enrollment and billing specifics. Your responsibilities will also include a range of complex and sensitive policy-owner functions, allowing you to flex your creative muscles in a variety of ways. Youll use your powers of critical thinking and problem solving to get to the heart of the matter efficiently. Youll thoughtfully apply product knowledge. As a Service Specialist, we offer:

  • Daytime shift availability between 7 am-7 pm (Central time zone) or 8 am-8 pm (Easter time zone)
  • Possibility to work from home based on business needs
  • Training class will start on Monday, August 3rd
  • Training will be a minimum of 4-6 weeks from 8 am-4:30 pm (Eastern time zone)

What youll do:

  • Determine the intent of policyholders & brokers, and group office personnel inquiries regarding implementation, enrollment and billing and accurately respond by investigating, analyzing and resolving all questions and concerns to meet customer expectations
  • Review and analyze all data submitted and, when necessary, initiate communication with policyholders & brokers to obtain missing information or clarify questions to ensure proper handling on the front end
  • Train and/or provide explanations to policyholders and brokers on billings, enrollments procedures and other business processing when needed - to ensure efficient and effective service
  • Deliver excellent service recovery, to include turning complaint/error situations into an advantage and using every contact as an opportunity to provide a positive customer experience

About You:

This is a customer-focused role, requiring a positive approach and many different skill-sets, including:

  • Strong customer service skills, to include excellent relationship management & listening skills
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Sound judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Great planning & organizational skills, with demonstrated success in establishing priorities, managing multiple assignments concurrently and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment & make timely decisions
  • Creative, adaptable and flexible
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Basic knowledge of group insurance products

Valuable Experience:

  • Group insurance experience is strongly preferred
  • Strong background in contract language
  • Bachelors degree
