Job Summary:

The Graphic Design Marketing Specialist is responsible for assisting the current graphic designer with internal print and web projects, such as apparel, promotional product, collateral and ad and web graphics. In addition, this role will manage Canva and templates for internal departmental use.
*This is a part time/casual position, and has the ability to work up to 16 hours per week depending on work load.*

Responsibilities:

Essential Job Functions

Assist in marketing and advertising promotional activities (e.g., social media, direct mail, and web).

Support the marketing team in daily administrative tasks.

Manage Canva Pro system, templates and users.

Assists current Graphic Designer with the design of promotional web graphics, surveys, flyers, banners, posters, invitations and other advertising and marketing materials as needed.

Support bookstore with apparel design, keeping brand consistent.

Asset versioning, creation and resizing under the direction of the Graphic Designer

Schedule:

*This is a part time/casual position, and has the ability to work up to 16 hours per week depending on work load.*

Will work with the candidate's schedule.

Job Description:

Job Requirements

Education

  • Undergraduate degree in graphic design or marketing with a minimum of one year of design experience required with emphasis in both print and electronic design and composition, with continuing education in new or updated software.


Experience

  • Minimum one or more years of experience in graphic design or marketing.
  • Experience with content creation is a plus, even if not professionally.


License/Certifications

  • Design portfolio preferred.


Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Basic graphic design and organizational skills.
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of current technological advances in marketing, graphic arts and design.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Knowledge of digital media software – Illustrator and Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, and other graphic design software.
  • Knowledge of project management system Wrike.
  • Ability to take direction and absorb information quickly.
  • Ability to manage projects from beginning to end.
