Job Summary:

Business facing role providing HR Advisory and Partnership services to Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital and Shared Service Systems, ranging from transactional support and routing to high-level strategic initiatives. Act as a primary point of contact for managers around questions of workforce management, employee relations, workforce planning, and training needs for teams and individuals.

Responsibilities:

Essential Functions

Serve as the first point of contact for managers, ensuring consistency and appropriate triage of requests.

Assist managers through the process of position requisition, status changes, position changes, and salary adjustments.

Work with managers to triage employee relations issues and escalate to Employee Relations CoE when appropriate.

Respond to manager inquiries around training or development initiatives, triaging requests through the Learning, Employee Experience and DEI teams.

Proactively identify recruitment needs in cooperation with department managers and communicate workforce planning needs to Talent Acquisition and Travel Staffing Agencies.

Deploy, communicate, and train assigned facilities on new HR programs, policies, and procedures. Programs to include, but not limited to, Workday, ServiceNow for HR, Performance Management, Contingent Workforce Management, DE&I, etc.

Full Time, Day Shift, 8 am - 4:30 pm

Job Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related area preferred.


Experience

  • Minimum 3+ years Professional Human Resources experience preferably with broad exposure for a variety of Human Resource Advisor activities and working with management.


License/Certifications

  • HR Certification (e.g. Professional in Human Resources (PHR), SHRM-CP, etc.) preferred.


Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Working knowledge of multiple Human Resources disciplines and NMHS Human Resources policies.
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, organizational, and presentation skills to management level required.
  • Ability to develop a thorough understanding of NMHS HR policies, processes, and practices.
