Essential Job Functions
Essential Functions I
- Performs ongoing validation of data submitted to the Nebraska Cancer Registry to assure the accuracy and completeness of the information as outlined in work plan by re-abstracting 5% of submitted cases using the North American Association of Central Cancer Registry guidelines.
Conducts case findings using NAACCR Guidelines at time of site visits to document completeness of case reporting.
Maintains all current Quality Assurance (QA) indicators with procedures, definitions, and measurements to assure consistent reporting and recording procedures.
Prepares State Cancer Registry quarterly reports for State Cancer Registry as outlined in contract to assure reporting in a timely manner.
Presents QA information at TRAN to update membership to assure accurate case finding and consistent reporting methods.
Functions as a team member with other State Cancer Registry staff by working cooperatively together efficiently and effectively to complete work of the registry as a whole.
Performs death certificate clearance to identify cancer cases not previously reported by reviewing tape submitted by Bureau of Vital Statistics with State Cancer Registry data.
