  • Purpose of Job
    • Responsible for set-up, maintenance and configuration of PC hardware and software throughout the Methodist Health System campuses.
  • Job Requirements
    • Education
      • High school diploma, General Educational Development (GED) or equivalent required.
      • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in computer related field or equivalent job experience preferred.

    • Experience
      • Minimum of 3-4 years' experience supporting computers in a network environment.

    • License/Certifications
      • Valid and current driver's license required.
      • A+ or Microsoft Certifications preferred.

    • Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
      • Ability to transport PC equipment to work location.
      • Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks, problem-solve, and prioritize work assignments.
      • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
      • Skilled in computer hardware/software set-up, configuration, and maintenance.

  • Essential Job Functions
    • Essential Function I

      • Travel to various Methodist locations to troubleshoot personal computer (PC) problems and repair as needed to ensure all operations run efficiently.

      • Installs, configures and maintains PC hardware and software for the business; frequently transports new equipment to work site.

      • Performs routine preventative maintenance on all PCs to ensure proper functionality.

      • Makes recommendations on products/services to continually provide leading edge technology.

      • Assists with local area network (LAN) administration for the purpose of providing end-user support.

      • Documents, distributes and communicates concerns regarding PCs and associated hardware and software.

      • Contacts vendors as needed to assist with problem resolution.

      • Maintains and tracks inventory of all computer equipment and products.

      • Evening and weekend pager duty will be shared with other staff members on a rotating basis.
    • Essential Functions II

      • Participates in mandatory in-services and/or CE programs as mandated by policies and procedures/external agencies and as directed by management.

      • Follows and understands the mission, vision, core values, Employee Standards of Behavior and company policies/procedures.

      • Other duties as assigned.
