Essential Functions I
- Assists with the coordination and execution of special events by interacting and communicating with catering customers in person and over the phone to ensure customer needs are met at the highest level of service.
Works from daily catering function sheets by organizing equipment, conducting room set-up and tear-down, and delivering food to ensure catered functions are conducted efficiently and with excellent customer service.
Prepares for upcoming catering functions by reviewing catering function sheets on a daily basis and working with Lead Nutrition Service Tech to ensure food orders have been placed and equipment is available for the events.
Serves as back-up for the Lead Nutrition Services Tech taking orders off computer and communicating new catering orders and changes to all appropriate Food Service staff.
Maintains adequate level of food and supplies for appropriate service by ensuring par levels in food service area are met and maintained.
Prepares and serves food for patients, visitors, staff, and catering customers by following food order requests to ensure accurate and correct meals are delivered within established timeframes.
Follows proper food handling procedures and complies with quality performance standards to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.
Operates food service equipment by following manufacturer and department procedures to ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment is maintained.
Washes dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans by following department policies and procedures to ensure all equipment is clean and sanitary for use.
Stores clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in proper areas by following departmental policies and procedures to ensure equipment is available when needed.
Essential Functions II
Participates in mandatory in-services and/or CE programs as mandated by policies and procedures/external agencies and as directed by management.
Follows and understands the mission, vision, core values, Employee Standards of Behavior and company policies/procedures.
