Essential Job Functions
Essential Functions I
Promotes positive relations when interacting with patients, visitors, families, physicians, customers and co-workers.
Maintain a working knowledge of the Medical Staff Bylaws, TJC standards, and other applicable regulatory bodies.
Coordinates credentialing process of appointment and reappointment to the Medical Staff as well as the procedures for privileging in a manner consistent with the Hospital / Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations and policies.
Ensures accuracy and timeliness of any information presented to the Credentials Committee for the purpose of credentialing and privileging of physicians and AHP's.
Maintains an accurate and efficient recordkeeping system for the Medical Staff. Collects Medical Staff dues according to policy and maintains financial records of Medical Staff.
Provides administrative support for senior leaders as needed. Maintains contract data base and Medical Staff Bylaws.
Provide general administrative support by scheduling meetings, prepare agendas, reports, and presentations. Assists with reception duties and gives assistance to telephone callers.
Communicates and shares information with Assistant to the President so routine aspects of the position can be performed.
Essential Functions II
Participates in mandatory in-services and/or CE programs as mandated by policies and procedures/external agencies and as directed by management.
Follows and understands the mission, vision, core values, Employee Standards of Compassionate Care/AIDET and company policies/procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
