At shift change the conference room, locker room, mini nurses stations, dirty/clean and break rooms are to be cleaned before staff leave for the day.
Every patient room is to be clean, fresh water, trash, linen picked up and changed as needed. Ice bags to be changed every 1-2 hours.
All patients to get a bath, teeth brush, men shaved, Foley care during the day and for HS cares this includes backrub, teeth brush, Foley care.
Monthly cleaning assignment performed and signed off on the cleaning log.
Any bath or HS cares on your team not completed is to be reported to your manager/charge nurse.
All surgical's to receive a Hibiclens bath before going to surgery.
All heels elevated up off the bed on a pillow (no pressure to heels).
Night shift to perform all daily weights before leaving for the day.
All charting is to be real time charting and all patient data and information should be charted as soon as it is performed such as vitals, turns etc.
All CNA's to model the hospitals Standards of Compassionate Service.
Able to speak to the unit's Performance Improvement projects/ Staff education on the unit.
Maintains safe and clean unit at all times.
Patient safety always a priority, bed/chair alarms on.
Chart all Quality Measures before leaving for the day.
Know PRC questions asked of patients and work to improve scores for the whole unit.

No cell phones/internet for personal use while on duty (keep cell phones in locker).
