    • To greet and escort according to department and hospital procedures and displays courtesy and responsiveness to patient and visitor requests.

    • Essential Functions I

      • Greets and escorts according to department and hospital procedures and displays courtesy and responsiveness to patient and visitor requests to assure delivery of services in a manner and time deemed appropriate by the patient/customer.
        • Responds in a reasonable time period when assigned a job.
        • Displays courtesy and compassion to ALL patients, coworkers, visitors and customers.
        • Follows departmental procedures for transporting patients and items.

      • Assures clear communication with Cancer Center and greeting staff so they are aware of when the patient is requiring additional assistance.
        • Communicates effectively with Cancer Center staff concerning patient care.
        • Notifies ancillary staff when patient is escorted to the requesting department.
        • Good rapport with all encounters.

      • Provides appropriate care, specific to the age of the patient, to ensure understanding and comfort of treatment, as outlined in Age Specific Criteria.
        • Provides appropriate age specific care according to Supervisor's observation.
        • Provides appropriate age specific care according to clinical or staff feedback (if provided).
        • Gets along well with any age patient.

      • Displays adaptability and flexibility to maximize the effectiveness of the department.
        • Volunteers for extra shifts when coverage is needed in the department.
        • Is available to work varying shifts as volume or staffing changes in the department.
        • Accepts additional tasks, projects and assignments as dictated by volume and staffing.

      • Maintains teamwork spirit, positive mentoring and willingness to assist with training and/or cross-training of new employees.
        • Maintains a positive attitude when assigned duties or tasks.
        • Assists, in a positive way, with the implementation of new procedures, schedules and/or job tasks.
