Chemical agents (Toxic, Corrosive, Flammable, Latex)
Mechanical moving parts/vibrations
Biological agents (primary air born and blood born viruses) (Jobs with Patient contact) Blood or Body Fluid (BBF)
Physical hazards (noise, temperature, lighting, wet floors, outdoors, sharps) (more than ordinary office environment)
Essential Job Functions
Essential Functions I
Transfer of medication issues is communicated between the pharmacy team.
Sterile Compounding Management
Central Pharmacy Management
Manage telephone calls on a respectable level and follow-up.
Unit Dose area and Automated Dispensing Machine (ADM) oversight.
Manage the flow of products with no backlog or delays.
Performs extemporaneous compounding according to established recipes.
Narcotic ADM systems attainment and paperwork.
Crash Cart and surgical trays completed prior to end of shift.
Involved with clinical questions with pharmacist oversight.
Patient Care Unit Management
Completes all ADM Pending and Loads prior to end of shift.
ALL credits are checked per shift, returned to pharmacy, and put in proper location.
Teamwork exhibited by actions
Completion of orders to point of delivery (visual inspections while staffing).
Follows established policies and procedures for pharmacy operations.
Respectful of pharmacist oversight of activities (feedback from pharmacists).
Essential Functions II
Participates in mandatory in-services and/or CE programs as mandated by policies and procedures/external agencies and as directed by management.
Follows and understands the mission, vision, core values, Employee Standards of Compassionate Care/AIDET and company policies/procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
