Purpose of Job
This position is responsible for the daily operations, staffing, performance improvement, compliance with accreditation standards, budgeting and quality outcomes for the Surgery Operating Room.

Chemical agents (Toxic, Corrosive, Flammable, Latex)
Mechanical moving parts/vibrations
Biological agents (primary air born and blood born viruses) (Jobs with Patient contact) (BBF)
Physical hazards (noise, temperature, lighting, wet floors, outdoors, sharps) (more than ordinary office environment)
Essential Job Functions
Ensures the implementation of departmental policies and procedures that address how nursing care needs of the patient population are assessed, met and evaluated.
Utilizes human, material, fiscal resources of assigned unit(s) within budgetary guidelines or within acceptable budget variances.
Assists in preparing a realistic budget within established guidelines.
Takes corrective action when budget variances are identified.
Assists in the development and implementation of cost saving process changes or alternative products or procedures.
Implements a budget based master scheduling and staffing plan for assigned care unit(s).
Adjusts staffing on an as needed basis to meet patient care needs and budget target.
