The Director oversees department staff in activating career experiences within MCC’s Academic Focus Areas, with the goal of enabling students to build and develop their career identity at MCC. Sets departmental vision, goals, and accountability metrics to ensure all MCC students receive high quality, consistent career experiences in each Academic Focus Area (AFA). Sets measurable outcomes for each activity, ensuring ongoing data collection, assessment, and continuous improvement. Oversees college wide job seeking and job placement systems for use across various career support departments, including helping departments and students obtain internships, Earn and Learn opportunities, and permanent employment after degree completion.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Career Development or related area, with, Five (5) years of related work experience in career services, human resources, or advising in a community college setting. Equivalent combination of education and/or work experience considered.
Supervisory experience preferred. Program evaluation experience preferred.
Ability to travel between campuses for meetings or position responsibilities.
