WELDING TECHNOLOGY INSTRUCTOR
FORT OMAHA CAMPUS
232 DAY, 12 MONTH CONTRACT
The Welding Department is seeking positive, dynamic, student-centered individuals to teach learners the desired skills for today’s work place. Preference will be given to candidates who are committed to student success and the use of the classroom experiences to enhance workplace understanding and performance.
The Instructor will prepare and teach a full range of welding coursework such as oxy-acetylene, gas metal arc, shielded metal arc (including pipe), gas tungsten arc (steel, stainless and aluminum) and fabrication.
The Instructor will collaboratively participate in curriculum review/development, outcomes assessment, advisory council activities, American Welding Society projects, mentorship to Adjunct Instructors and other department or College activities.
Minimum of 8 years full-time related occupational experience
Approved Journey-worker status
An Associate’s degree in career field and 4 years full-time related occupational experience
A Bachelor’s degree in the discipline or in a related discipline and 2 years full-time related occupational experience required.
AWS training certification and experience with CNC welding and robotic programming highly preferred Teaching experience preferred. Hiring process includes a background check.
FT 232 day, 12-month contract.
The position will involve travel to other campuses; must be available to teach day, evening or weekend courses.
A teaching demonstration is required as part of the interview process.
The position is contingent upon MCC Board of Governors approval.
NOTE: College degrees obtained outside the U.S. accepted only when interpreted by transcript service members of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services.
