Assist student with reading related issues, and provides support in the following areas: discerning and applying specific skill sets relevant to reading tasks, personalized reading support, textbook reading strategies, note taking methods, critical reading strategies, vocabulary strategies, instruction to navigate and evaluate digital media and college databases.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree preferably in Reading plus one year full-time teaching reading strategies, or other related work experience in tutoring or teaching required. Equivalent combination of education and work experience including part time considered. This position is Part time temporary and the hours will vary between 15 and 24 hours per week, based upon quarterly student enrollment. Hiring process includes a background check.
