POSITION SUMMARY
The Quality Technician is responsible for monitoring and reporting on the quality performance of his/her assigned areas. The Quality Technician is involved with the development and execution of all aspects of quality control, quality assurance and quality improvement.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Associate degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Experience: Minimum of 1 year related experience (such as manufacturing) if degreed, minimum of 2 years related experience if non-degreed.
Required Skills:
High school math level skills including algebra and geometry
Basic PC skills including spreadsheet, word processing, and databases
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings/specifications
Knowledge of basic production processes and material properties
SPECIAL DEMANDS
Ability to bend, squat, reach and climb
Ability to lift and push/pull up to 50 pounds
Navigating the manufacturing floor to work with process operators and monitor process performance
Manual dexterity and visual acuity required for using gauges and measuring instruments
Ability to visually recognize color
