POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for monitoring warehouse inventory and performing cycle counting duties to ensure that all materials are properly verified and are reflective of reported inventory. The Cycle Counter will investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies and be actively involved with quarterly inventory audits.  The Cycle Counter will also assist in locating materials.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Champion Lozier’s Mission, Vision, and Values by demonstrating the behaviors that contribute to Lozier’s success.
  • Coordinate the performance of daily cycle counts from scheduling
  • Assist in training floor personnel on inventory control procedures and work instructions
  • Reconcile daily cycle counts
  • Determine root cause of errors and provide resolution action required to area managers
  • Monitor and report to management conditions present in the storage areas and report results
  • Investigate issues associated with system failures, document and communicate failures and test solutions
  • Add/remove/modify items within the cycle counts in Oracle
  • Work through the cycle count frequencies via data analysis
  • Generate the cycle counting and inventory accuracy reporting

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education:  High School Diploma or GED or equivalent

Experience:  Minimum of three years relevant work experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.  Experience with inventory auditing highly preferred.

Required Skills:

  • Highly accurate in reading, writing and keying coded information.
  • Knowledge of data files, basic computer applications and pc software to create reports.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Good personal organization and general clerical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
  • General math skills with attention to calculating areas, performing conversions and using units of measure.
  • Print reading skills.
  • Fundamental understanding of MRP and inventory management principles and techniques.

SPECIAL DEMANDS

  •           Ability to work in a manufacturing setting, upstairs, downstairs, factory floor.
  •           Enter data into a computer for extended periods of time.
  •           Flexible work hours and overtime as needed.
