POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for equipment / facility maintenance and repair, implementation of engineering projects to continuously reduce unplanned downtime while maintaining safety and quality standards. Accountabilities include improving results through efficient use of the Maintenance resources in order to accomplish objectives.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Supervise routine, preventive, and project maintenance and work assignments to optimize the reliability of plant equipment and
    the facility.
  • Work collaboratively with production and engineering to plan, organize, and justify cost for project implementation and preventive maintenance.
  • Manage, supervise and complete assigned engineering projects.
  • Issue /Approve purchase requisitions for non-production materials and replacement parts.
  • Work collaboratively with vendors to solve maintenance related problems, reduce costs and improve operations.
  • Work with maintenance staff to develop and direct improvement of the required skills and performance to meet maintenance objectives.
  • Ensure that Lozier safety and environmental programs are followed.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures and Lozier’s collective bargaining agreement.
  • Demonstrates regular attendance and timeliness in reporting to work, meetings and completing assignments.
  • Ability to work and interact well with others.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

Experience:

  • Demonstrated success in managing a technical area, such as manufacturing engineering, tool & die or maintenance.
  • 5 years of manufacturing experience

Required Skills:

  • Working knowledge of industrial maintenance in a manufacturing setting, welders, brake presses, roll formers, punch presses, automated production equipment, powder paint line.
  • Working knowledge of project planning database programs. (Microsoft Project)
  • Working knowledge of standard budget processes.
  • Intermediate skill with Microsoft Office Applications.
  • General mechanical and electrical knowledge including troubleshooting and programmable controller knowledge

SPECIAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to move around throughout a manufacturing facility or warehouse 50% of the day.
  • Must be flexible to cover for shifts other than the regularly assigned shift.
