Qualified and required to perform general maintenance work on machines, including all types of building maintenance.  Can perform simpler forms of tool, die and fixture work when asked.  Must maintain the machines in proper operating condition.  Must conform to the Preventative Maintenance Schedule and requirements of Preventative Maintenance sheet.  Must be a good welder and skilled in the use of the tools necessary to do electrical, plumbing and heating work.  Must have satisfactorily completed all steps of apprentice program described in the Maintenance Apprentice Program that includes written and practical exams and all training deemed necessary by the Company and Joint Training Committee to keep up with the new technology as determined on an annual basis.  Must be physically capable of handling parts, materials and equipment (including test equipment) as needed.  Requires little supervision.  To provide further training, it may be required to transfer employee to another shift regardless of seniority.
