District Overview

Kiewit's Eastern District specializes in challenging heavy civil construction projects throughout the Northeast, including the metropolitan areas of New York, Chicago, Boston, and Washington DC.¯ We are leaders in bridge, transit, foundation, tunnel, and water/wastewater construction while specializing in cast-in-place concrete, structural steel erection, earthwork, pile driving, and caissons. Kiewit's Eastern District also has a large amount of work in the energy/power sector in various northeast locations. With our experienced and dedicated employees, extensive resources and in-depth market knowledge, the Eastern District can handle projects of any size.  

Location

This position is located in Colliersville NY.

Responsibilities

• Manage all incoming "Invite to Bid" emails (ex. responding to email, adding to schedule, downloading plans and specs)
• Communicates with Client when further information is needed regarding a bid.
• Coordinates downloading, transferring and printing of all plans.
• Answers all incoming phone calls and direct to the appropriate person.
• Acts as assistant to the Chief Estimator
• Assists with collecting and entering vendor bills and receipts.
• Completes all bid documents for work to bid including getting management signatures as needed
• Coordinates with Home Office for bid bonds, surety letters and other needed information 

Qualifications

• Must have an Associate's Degree.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years supporting an engineering or construction department.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organization skills.
• Must know Microsoft Office projects including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Must be self-motivated and punctual.
• Must be able to manage multiple tasks and have excellent follow up skills both internally and externally.
• Experience with the following programs: MS Office, Smartsheet, Bid Express, Procore, or Oracle is a plus.
