Position Overview

The Corporate Compliance Manager will provide managerial oversight of the Kiewit Compliance Program. They will develop and oversee a team optimized to identify and respond to organizational regulatory risks and/or concerns; develop, implement, and document improvements to correct deficiencies and mitigate risk.  

 

The successful candidate would have experience managing high performing teams, understand Kiewit's unique structure, and experience working with various Kiewit management at the corporate, shared services, and field levels.  This position works closely with numerous departments throughout the Company to promote a risk management culture, challenge assumptions and to assist in communicating a holistic regulatory risk profile to Executive management and various stakeholders.  

 

Experience with risk assessment and audit methodologies, control activities and mitigation strategies is highly valued.  This position participates on the IT Security and Privacy committees, and others as needed.

Location

This position is based out of Kiewit Plaza at 3555 Farnam Street in Omaha, NE.  This is a shared service center in a professional office setting. 

Responsibilities

  •     Ensure the company has an effective compliance program 
  •     Periodically self-assess the overall program for alignment with Department of Justice and other federal agency mandates, such as the Federal Sentencing Guidelines
  •     Ensure applicable regulatory areas are identified and being monitored by operations.
  •     Oversee the company's œOur Core Values (Code of Conduct) and annual training
  •     Oversee the enterprise risk assessment process
  •     Ensure that a subject matter owner from operations and legal support are in place for the regulatory risk areas of the company.
  •     Conduct formal annual surveys with all subject matter owners and legal support to review their risk areas and provide support as needed
  •     Three times a year,  communicate with subject matter owners to determine if regulatory changes are occurring in their areas, and log such into a Regulatory Tracker
  •     Oversee the annual compliance related trainings and enrollment process
  •     Monitor completion of required trainings for Operations Compliance
  •     Report to the Corporate Compliance Council three times a year on regulatory activity affecting the company and industry; prepare the agenda and content for the meeting
  •     Financial budgeting for the Corporate Compliance Department
  •     Provide support and oversight of Corporate Security Manager
  •     Participate with various groups to establish new compliance related initiatives
  •     Manage the reporting of conflicts of interest
  •     Stay current on security industry trends, relevant compliance requirements, and security best practices by attending conferences, networking with peers, and other educational opportunities
  • Qualifications

  •     Minimum 4 years managing high performing teams with responsibility for performance and compensation rating and review 
  •     Minimum of 4 years experience auditing information systems or financial processes desired with emphasis around governmental or industry regulations  
  •     Three or more years in Audit, Risk, Compliance, Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery, or a combination of in a closely related field 
  •     Experience with Big 4 or within an internal audit department 
  •     Possess strong influencing, negotiating, and relationship building skill
  •     Ability to identify, evaluate and mitigate significant regulatory risks within an enterprise
  •     Strong working experience with Microsoft Office Suite 
  •     Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well with people from many different disciplines and with varying degrees of technical experience
  •     Possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  •     Must be able to work independently 
  •     Bachelor's Degree or higher; experience in Audit or Advisory, Risk & Compliance, Finance, or Management is strongly preferred
  •     Preferred certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certification in in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA), Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP), or equivalent designation
