Although this opportunity is with Kiewit's Northern California District, and focuses on work throughout Northern California and the Western United States.
Kiewit's NorCal District is headquartered in Fairfield, CA. We primarily perform heavy civil projects specializing in earth moving, water treatment facilities, transportation, roadways, and underground utilities, while developing builders who will lead the company into the future.
Primary Responsibilities Understands the payroll and HR process workflow, and masters the systems used to properly hire, transfer, terminate, and pay all employees Perform basic clerical functions at project site, which include filing, copying, data entry
Demonstrates understanding of the accounts payable process workflow and is able troubleshoot payment or vendor issues
Coordinate and arrange meetings including agenda preparation, meeting invitations, reserving and preparing facilities and resources and arranging offsite meetings as requested.
Perform weekly payroll verification including signing in new hires, terminations, and paycheck distribution
Operate general office equipment, such as copier, scanner, calculator, phone, and computers
Greet scheduled visitors and direct them to appropriate area or person.
Maintain contact lists and calendars in Outlook.
Assist managers with planning and scheduling of activities.

Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field Preferred.
A minimum of two years related experience
Understand and have working knowledge of cost accounting and cost control, and accounts payable/receivable.
Working Conditions Fast-paced office environment; must be able to interact professionally with all levels of management while simultaneously manage a diversified workload and challenging situations efficiently and effectively
Travel in the U.S. (0-5%)
