Essential Responsibilities: Architects provide the architectural code review, life safety analysis and design components for industrial buildings and collaborate with the structural, and MEP engineers on the design team. They are also responsible for coordinating with contractors, and government organizations for successful execution of the building design and construction support.
Able to manage 3rd Party / Outside Consultants as needed.
Support, understand, and advise the client on final architectural design choices required.
Ensure the design process recognizes current legislation, standards and codes of practice.
Ensuring design information is of the right quality and meets scope and budget. Help prepare and review full construction documents and ensure documents are in compliance with EPC requirements.
Aid in the technical bid analysis reviews during the contractor's bid period, determining practicality and completeness of bids.
Become familiar and confident in understanding the work flow required to estimate, bid and construct buildings in an Engineer-Procure-Construct (EPC) environment for the industrial industries.
Checks and navigates in 3D models for interferences and constructability.
Reviews and coordinates shop drawings during construction administration.
Understanding of Metal Building Structures for industrial projects a plus.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in architecture.
1+ years experience in preparing or reviewing design documents or equivalent construction management experience.
Strong understanding of all phases of how building projects are executed from design to construction.
Experience in the design of industrial buildings is a plus.
Experience with EPC contracts or Design-Build types of projects a plus.
Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD 2018, Microsoft Office applications, Bluebeam and Navisworks.
Self-starter that can integrate and coordinate with various engineering and design disciplines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
