    Position Overview: 
    Does the field of business intelligence interest you? Do you have interest in working with varied data sets and data sources? Are you interested in learning how to move and transform data between the various data sources using integration tools? If selected for this Internship, you will be an integral part of the Enterprise Data Enablement team, a team that is focused on highlighting the relationships and decisions that can be made from the data we collect each day at Kiewit.

    Data Integration Intern's primary role is to assist and learn from the Data Integration Team.
    The BI Data Integration intern will assist in the development and testing of Extract Transform Load (ETL) packages and scripts to move data from source applications to BI Platforms for Reporting and Analytic functions.

    While on the data integration team, you will participate in the following activities: 

  •     Gather business information from product or data modelling team on data elements that needs integrated to our ODS or EDW environments.
  •     Work with Microsoft & Teradata technologies.
  •     Write integration scripts/packages using Data Integration tools.
  •     Test integration scripts and packages and document those.
  •     Play an integral part of an agile delivery team comprising of product owners, project managers/scrum masters and other reporting team members.
  •     Partner with Reporting Support team.
  •     Opportunities to document process and to do presentations.
  •     Other duties as assigned


  •     Currently pursuing a degree in computer science, Business Intelligence, statistics, management information systems, business analysis, or related field 
  •     Strong analytical and organizational skills 
  •     Excellent written and oral communication skills 
  •     Learn to work in a fast-paced environment 
  •     Learn to work in a team environment 
  •     Learn to work independently and communicate risks or potential problems to manager
