    Position Description: Electrical engineering design for PV solar, energy storage, and microgrids. Provide conceptual design support such as electrical one-line diagrams, site plans and bill of materials. Develop electrical designs for solar, energy storage systems (battery, pumped hydro, etc.), and microgrid related technologies such as natural gas reciprocating engines, small wind turbines, fuel cells, microturbines, distributed control and monitoring systems, etc. Model systems and run performance software for solar, microgrid and energy storage designs, and performing renewable energy related project electrical engineering roles for power markets served by Kiewit.
    Requirements: 

  •     Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related filed and 3 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer or related position. 
  •     Experience with: Performing production analysis of solar PV plants using PVSYST. Performing electrical studies (Incl load flow, short-circuit, DC & AC arc-flash and grounding studies). Modelling and analyzing solar plus energy storage and microgrid systems using homerpro software. 
  •     Developing equipment specifications for inverters, MV transformers and switchgears. Leading the electrical engineering and design of solar plus energy storage projects.
    * travel 20% to various client sites
