At Kiewit, we are always working to improve our processes, performance and vision to better serve our customers. As an Estimate Manager, you'll be joining our Engineering Project Management group in support of our Get Work efforts. Our group is currently supporting 12 major projects in various degrees of completion and 5 major estimates at any given time.
Primary Responsibilities Provide overall leadership using established estimating processes and procedures.
Provide critical and strategic input to potential estimate options to enable the best chance to a successful proposal.
Ensure cross discipline communication amongst the integrated engineering /construction teams is at its best.
Prepare and present proposed plant performance guarantees for executive review and signoff in response to RFPs.
Prepare and present the developed engineering fee estimate for executive review and signoff.
Complete ownership and knowledge of the RFP and our response to the RFP including any exceptions and clarifications.
Develop team vision, identify priorities and align with operational goals.
Work to fully comprehend the business, industry and changing marketplace the organization resides in; align discipline personnel to meet changing business requirements.
Qualifications Good negotiation, presentation and persuasion skills. Experienced in communicating ideas, winning approval, and reaching resolutions with a variety of audiences
Ability to manage projects and progress ideas to execution in a complex environment
Strong analytical and critical thinking ability along with the capacity to interpret data and make recommendations
Comfortable with change and ambiguity; adaptable, collaborative and a systems thinker
Ability to adapt to a high energy, results driven culture.
Proficient in design software and tools as well as other software programs such as Microsoft Office
Bachelor's degree in engineering (or similar field, mechanic electrical preferred) from an ABET-accredited engineering program
Ten years' experience in increasingly challenging positions
Three-five years' management experience preferred
