PTK Student Assistant (Council Bluffs)

The PTK Student Assistant will primarily serve as the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society's Lab Host during the day, making sure the room can stay open and available for use as much as possible throughout the week. The majority of interactions will be directly with Honors Students, Chapter Officers, and Chapter Advisors. The PTK Student Assistant will also be responsible for organizing and keeping inventory of items in the Lab, located in Stuart Hall 1130, as well as light monitoring of the PTK Canvas page and email account. The general purpose of the position will always be to support and assist with the everyday functions of the Phi Theta Kappa organization on the Council Bluffs Campus.

Required Qualification

MUST QUALIFY FOR FEDERAL WORK-STUDY.

Detail-oriented, attentive, and focused
Organized, dependable, and responsible

Preferred Qualification

  • PTK Member Preferred but not required.
  • Must relate well with students, parents, faculty, and administrators
  • Able to work in both individual and team settings, especially with diverse groups
  • Must be mature, good with time management, and display a willingness to assist when needed
  • Must be fluent in Microsoft programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote
