Description

The PTK Student Assistant will mainly be the face of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society's campus headquarters during the day, making sure the room can stay open and available for use as much as possible throughout the week. The majority of interactions will be directly with Honors Students, Chapter Officers, and Chapter Advisors. The PTK Student Assistant will be responsible for organizing and updating the paperwork and filing systems in our campus Headquarters, located in Stuart 1130. The specific duties will change as the needs of the group change over time, but the general purpose of the position will always be to support and assist with the everyday functions of the Phi Theta Kappa organization on the Council Bluffs Campus.

Required Qualification

MUST QUALIFY FOR FEDERAL WORK-STUDY.

Organized, dependable, and responsible

Preferred Qualification

  • PTK Member Preferred but not required.
  • Must relate well with students, parents, faculty, and administrators
  • Able to work in both individual and team settings, especially with diverse groups
  • Must be mature, good with time management, and display a willingness to assist when needed
  • Must be fluent in Microsoft programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote
