The Grants & Contracts Accounting Clerk will be under supervision of Grants and Contracts Accountant; accounting activities relating to Iowa Western's grants and contracts.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities:
Grants and contracts:
Monthly reconciliation, draw downs or invoicing
Communicate with grant administrators
Monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting
KIWR Invoicing and Commission Tracking
Monthly A/R Journals
Annual Reconciliations of SEOG/Work Study accounts
Record transactions, process draw down, and reconcile Federal Aid accounts
Recordkeeping associated with the U.S. Department of Education Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds
Monthly reconciliations and drawdowns
Tracking all documentation associated with expenditures
Assistance with completion of all quarterly, annual, and final grant require reporting
Research associated with grant qualifying expenditures
Correspondence with Grant Manager on utilization of grant funds
Responsible for performance of other duties as assigned.
Associates Degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
One year accounting or business office experience.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
Two years accounting or business office experience.
Typical Physical Demands:
Requires prolonged standing or sitting. Requires frequent bending, stooping or stretching. May require average-weight objects. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Requires ability to distinguish letters or symbols. Requires the use of office equipment such as computer terminals, calculator, telephone, faxes, and copiers.
Salary : $30,000 - $32,000
