Description
The Assistant Coach will assist the Head Coach with coordination of all phases of a competitive NJCAA Division I athletic program. Including but not limited to coaching, recruiting, budget management, travel management, rules and eligibility compliance, administrative duties, departmental fundraising, game management, academic advising, marketing, promotions and public relations.
Required Qualification
Minimum of 3 years coaching and/or competing in the respective sport.
Preferred Qualification
Minimum of 3 years coaching and/or competing in the respective sport at the collegiate level.Exceptional knowledge of respective sport.
Must be CPR/First Aid Certified or have ability to obtain 90 days post-employment
Physical Demands
Ability to do facility set-up by climbing stairs, ladders, and moving moderately heavy equipment. Must be able to lift objects up to 50 lbs. Ability to use hands to operate a computer keyboard, telephone and other basic office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear and use a phone, and some travel, by vehicle, may be required. Reading, writing, calculating, social interaction skills, strong management and organizational skills, reasoning/analysis, ability work with minimal supervision, high degree of problem-solving, decision-making, and high degree of interpersonal skills is required. Work is routinely performed in an office environment, in gymnasiums and in indoor/outdoor athletic facilities.
Hiring process includes ability to pass a background check, a valid U.S Driver's license, and a good driving record to qualify to drive college vehicles.
