The Director of Career Services and Transfer Center is responsible for implementing a strategic plan to develop and sustain a Career Services and Transfer Center. This position will work with staff from all departments across the College to support our students and the companies we serve. The Director of Career Services and Transfer Center will provide a welcoming and professional environment where students have access to information on career development and the job search process.
Bachelor's degree required
Minimum of 2 years of experience in higher education, experience in public speaking and presenting to groups using exceptional presentation and communication skills, and training that demonstrates strong organizational skills.
Master's degree preferred
Knowledge of Community College Education, Career and Technical Education, and local industry needs.
Effective use of teaching strategies and integrated technology to successfully engage participants and enhance learning.
Work experience in a career development center.
Knowledge of career development theories and or job search and recruitment practices
Includes occasional lifting of 10 lbs., ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, use hands to operate a computer keyboard, telephone and other basic office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear and use a phone and and some travel, including by vehicle, may be required. Strong reading, writing, calculating, social interaction skills, reasoning/analysis, ability work with minimal supervision, high degree of problem-solving, organizational skills, time management and high degree of interpersonal skills.
Hiring process includes ability to pass a background check, a good driving record and a valid U.S Driver's license.

Salary : $46,000 - $48,000
