Iowa Western is currently seeking a Part-Time Weekend Facility Supervisor for our Marshall Wellness Center. This position reports to the Director of the Marshall Wellness Center. The Weekend Supervisor provides general oversight of the Marshall Wellness Center during weekend hours, including quality front-line customer service to students, employees, and visitors. The Weekend Supervisor provides guidance and oversight to student and part-time workers for the Marshall Wellness Center, a new 92,000-square foot multi-use fitness and recreation facility opening on campus in fall 2019 that features state-of-the-art cardio and strength training equipment, basketball and volleyball courts, and a 90-yard indoor field turf.
Qualifications: Associateâ??s Degree required. Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross (or obtained within 60 days of hire). Experience in a customer-service related field and experience that demonstrates a commitment to delivering first-rate customer service and exceptional support on a daily basis. Experience that demonstrates sensitivity to and an understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, ethnic, and disabled backgrounds of community college students and that illustrates the ability to problem-solve, confront policy violators, and diffuse volatile situations.
Additional Qualifications: include occasional lifting up to 25 lbs., ability to sit or stand or walk for extended periods of time, use hands to operate a computer keyboard, telephone and other basic office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear and use a phone. Ability to de-escalate volatile situations and diffuse angry people. Reading, writing, calculating, social interaction skills, strong management and organizational skills, reasoning/analysis, ability work with minimal supervision, high degree of problem-solving, decision-making, and high degree of interpersonal skills, ability to excel in team and individual settings, multi-task, problem solve, manage their time, and maintain positive relationships with student, staff, and faculty while thriving in a fast-paced environment. Work is routinely held in an indoor, climate-controlled environment. Hiring process includes ability to pass a background check.
Compensation: $13.50 per hour

Hours: Friday: 4:00 p.m. â?? 9:15 p.m.â?¯
Saturday: 9:30 a.m. â?? 6:15 p.m.
Sunday: 11:30 a.m. â?? 8:15 p.m.
*This position will work an average of 12-15 hours per week.* Flexible scheduling and rotating weekend days*
